  • • Strong skills in synthesizing and engineering biodegradable polymers, hydrogels, micropatterned structures, peptides-based nanoparticles, and bioreactor systems for a wide variety of drug delivery and tissue engineering applications.
  • • Fabrication of Silica-based nanoparticles as drug delivery systems
  • • knowledge of polymer structure-property relationships, concepts, and applications of chemical and polymer engineering.
  • • Strong skills in 2D and 3D cell culture of research specialization.
  • • Extensive skills in cell study (cell culture, cell expansion, cell differentiation, ..etc).
  • • Maintain and enrich cancer stem cell spheres in 3D systems for different cell lines.
  • • Operates specific equipment: RT-PCR, UV-VIS, FT-IR, DLS, SEM, Electrospinning, and Rheometer TA as well as lab techniques such as SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, ELISA, Immunofluorescent staining, Immunohistochemistry.

Research Interest
  • My publications are focused on the intersection of stem cells, biomaterials, and growth factors delivery for tissue regeneration and curing certain health problems. Novel peptide-based nanoparticles, novel biodegradable polymers, and bone tissue engineering scaffolds are fabricated, and cell studies were conducted to design new practical and potentially industrialized systems for biomedical applications. RESEARCH EXPERIENCE SUPERVISOR THESIS
  • • Mentoring research projects for Biomedical Engineering/Chemical Engineering undergraduate students at the UofSC.
  • • Lab manager and lab safety officer/ Biomimetic materials and Tissue Engineering lab at UofSC
  • • Training undergraduate students, visiting scholars, and new graduate students on lab safety awareness (Chemical, biological, and emergencies and first aid) to ensure learning in a safe environment.
  • • Training undergraduate students, visiting scholars, and new graduate students on running lab equipment and apparatuses (Rt-PCR, centrifuges, biosafety cabinets, freeze dryer, incubators, -80 oC freezer, Flourescent microscope, Western blot…etc).
  • • Training undergraduate students, visiting scholars, and new graduate students in conducting chemical and biological experiments (DNA and RNA extraction and quantification, gene expression, biochemical and immunofluorescent staining, 2D and 3D cell culture work, synthesizing polymers and hydrogels, …etc)
